An inside source (would like to remain anonymous) has informed me that Erika sat in her room for 2 hours, then got up and started moving! Talk about a trouper! Soon she will be moved from ICU to a regular room! On a different note, other people have access to posting...

Erika’s new kidney is working well! Lab work looked very good and kidneys making lots of urine. She isn’t nauseous so can start on clear fluids this morning and hopefully food by later. Will be up walking today also!

June 10, 2020: Update

Erika has entered the building! I repeat Erika has entered the building! Stand clear off the doors! Keep all hand and feet (and kidneys) on the body at all times! Surgery is scheduled to start at 6:30, more updates coming soon. New editor: Kyle Johnson

A living donor kidney has been found for Erika’s transplant!  A paired donor chain has been approved where Erika’s sister, Jana, will donate a kidney to one person and Erika will receive a kidney from another person. Erika is scheduled to receive her donor kidney...
